CICERONE’s kick-off meeting took place on 20-21 November 2018 in Spain, at the Technical University of Madrid.
The event started with a networking session between partners and various Spanish stakeholders present (including projects CICERONE is planning to link with). After a tour de table and a short presentation of the project, an extended coffee break provided ample opportunity to mingle and exchange experiences regarding the current state of funding for circular economy in Europe.
In the following session, SME Bluenove demonstrated how their platform, aimed at mobilising collective intellingence, will support CICERONE’s stakeholder engagement. The objective in CICERONE is to continue to pursue stakeholder dialogue throughout the project (between events, workshops, etc.), and to harvest stakeholder inputs by organising and structuring content in a dynamic way. This process will be powered by the tools and methodology of Bluenove (called Assembl).
Partners also started preparations for the first stakeholder workshop of the project, to be organised as part of the World Resources Forum 2019, one of the largest gatherings of circular economy stakeholders worldwide. CICERONE will host its own workshop on the future of circular economy programming, sharing our vision as well as providing an opportunity to key players to express their views and preferences about the different options on the table for the future.
